August 25, (THEWILL) – Plateau-For-Atiku Movement, a political group of elders, politicians, technocrats and lawmakers, has appealed to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his supporters, to cease fire by embracing peace and reconciliation in the overall interest of the party.
The group said although some groups within the party might still be aggrieved over the outcome of the presidential primary, time has come to end the ongoing distractions in the party.
The group, in a statement issued through its Protem Secretary, Professor Shedrach Best, re-affirmed its support for the candidature of Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
According to the Protem Secretary, the Movement has reiterated its commitment towards ensuring total support for Atiku Abubakar in Plateau State.
“Our support for Atiku Abubakar is unconditional and we are working round the clock to deliver Plateau to Atiku come 2023”, it said in a statement.
The Statement noted further that while the party members who are aggrieved, enjoying the space to express their personal opinions and views, the Plateau-for-Atiku Movement is calling on Nigerians to support the Atiku Abubakar presidential aspiration, saying Atiku has garnered political experience over the years and has what it takes to take Nigeria out of its present challenges.
The Plateau-for-Atiku Movement also harped on issues related to the victory of the PDP presidential flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar, GCON, in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, and re-affirmed its support for the candidature.
The group reiterated its commitment towards ensuring total support for Atiku Abubakar on the Plateau, and stressed that its support for Atiku Abubakar is unconditional.
