February 04, (THEWILL) – Students of the Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba (AAUA), Ondo State, have barricaded the Owo-Ikare Akoko expressway, to protest incessant road accidents in the town, involving trucks.
The protest, THEWILL, gathered followed the death of one of the students, identified as Michael, on Thursday.
Micheal reportedly died after he was hit by a truck on Thursday evening.
The protesters gathered in front of the school gate, barricading the Owo-Ikare Akoko expressway, chanting various solidarity songs.
At the time of filing the report, the protest was ongoing, while the security men were around trying to make the road free for motorists.
