
January 24, (THEWILL) – The abducted Bayelsa State Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Federal Otokito, has regained his freedom from his kidnappers.
THEWILL learnt that Otokito regained his freedom on Monday after four days in captivity.
The Chief Press Secretary to the State governor, Daniel Alabrah, confirmed the development on Monday evening.
Also, Special Assistant to the Governor on News Media, Patrick Ipidei, confirmed Otokito’s release on his Facebook post.
He wrote: “Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Federal Otokito, regains Freedom from Kidnappers den.”
Details about his release were yet to be made public as of press time.
The Commissioner was kidnapped by gunmen who stormed his residence about 11pm on Thursday and whisked him.
