May 01, (THEWILL) – Former President of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Okey Wali (SAN), has regained freedom, two weeks after he was abducted by gunmen in Rivers state.
The NBA chairman, Port Harcourt Branch, Viktor Benibo, confirmed the development to newsmen on Monday.
“He is in his house. He was released in the early hours of today”, he said.
Wali was intercepted by gunmen along the East–West Road, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State on April 17.
