
November 24, (THEWILL) – 89-year-old Eze Henry Madumere, father of former Imo State Deputy Governor Eze Madumere has been freed by his abductors.
Eze Madumere, the traditional ruler of Ezi Mbieri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, returned to his palace on Wednesday amid jubilation.
Michael Abattam, spokesperson of the Imo police command, who confirmed the development, was however silent on how the monarch was released.
The royal fatherĀ was abducted on Friday by gunmen around Iho Community in Ikeduru Local Government Area of the State.
Eyewitnesses had said that the kidnappers ambushed the monarch on his way to a funeral.
The hoodlums were said to have dragged the monarch out of his vehicle and drove to an unknown destination
