Abducted Wife, Two Children Of Kwara Assembly Member Regain Freedom

October 19, (THEWILL) – The wife and two children of Soliu Lawal Ayanshola, the lawmaker representing Ipaiye/Malete/Olooru constituency, in the Kwara State House of Assembly, who were abducted on Monday, by gunmen, have regained their freedom.

THEWILL reported that the victims were abducted at about 1 am on Monday, by heavily armed men, who attacked their residence in Moro local government area of Kwara State.

A senior Kwara State government official, who did not want his name in prints, confirmed on Thursday, that the victims regained their freedom on Wednesday night.

“They regained their freedom late Wednesday, about 8pm, following discreet efforts of the security agencies and the Kwara State government.

“At least five members of the gang that abducted them have also been arrested following discreet intelligence and surveillance works by all the teams involved”, the source said, adding that the victims have been reunited with their family.
