April 29, (THEWILL) — Access Holdings Plc has announced the retirement of its Deputy Managing Director at Access Bank, Mrs. Chizoma Okoli, effective April 30, 2026, following the expiration of her tenure.
The disclosure was made in a statement dated April 28, 2026, and signed by the Company Secretary, Sunday Ekwochi.
The Group formally notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public of her planned exit, marking the end of a distinguished period of leadership within the bank.
Mrs. Okoli played a pivotal role in strengthening Access Bank’s retail banking footprint. Her contributions were instrumental in expanding the bank’s customer base and improving service delivery, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises across multiple markets.
The Board of Access Holdings expressed appreciation for her dedication and impact, noting that her leadership significantly shaped the bank’s retail strategy.
The Board also wished her success in her future endeavors.
Mrs. Okoli joined Access Bank in March 2019 as an Executive Director following its merger with Diamond Bank.
In March 2022, she was appointed Deputy Managing Director, Retail South. Her banking career spans over three decades, having started in 1992 as an Executive Trainee in Diamond Bank, where she rose through the ranks into senior leadership.
She holds a law degree from the University of Benin and an MBA from Warwick Business School, UK. She has also completed executive programmes at Wharton and Lagos Business School, and currently serves on several corporate boards.
