June 11 (THEWILL) — Access Holdings Plc has appointed Abiodun Adigun as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Oxygen X Finance Company Limited, its digital lending subsidiary, in a move to accelerate financial inclusion and strengthen the group’s digital finance strategy.
The appointment was disclosed in a regulatory filing submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and has received all required regulatory approvals.
According to Access Holdings, the leadership change forms part of its broader strategy to reinforce executive capacity across its subsidiaries, deepen innovation, and position the group for sustainable long-term growth in an increasingly competitive financial services landscape.
Oxygen X, the digital lending arm of Access Holdings, is leveraging technology-driven solutions to provide accessible and convenient credit to individuals and businesses underserved by traditional financial institutions.
Commenting on the appointment, the chairman of Access Holdings Plc, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, said Adigun’s selection reflects the group’s commitment to building world-class financial services businesses through strong leadership, innovation, and operational excellence.

Aig-Imoukhuede added that the appointment would further strengthen the group’s succession pipeline while positioning Oxygen X to seize emerging opportunities in Nigeria’s fast-evolving digital finance ecosystem and deliver greater value to customers.
Adigun joins Oxygen X with more than 20 years of experience spanning business development, sales leadership, customer experience, credit management, and business transformation. Prior to his appointment, he served as Country Sales Head and Chief Marketing Officer at Credit Direct Finance Company Limited, where he spearheaded business expansion and market diversification initiatives.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Shanghai, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and has completed executive programmes in digital leadership and transformation at leading global institutions, including Imperial College London and Singapore Management University.
