February 19, (THEWILL) – Nollywood filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba and Minister of women affairs, Pauline Tallen, have emerged winners at the 2023 International Women’s Day Awards Gala in Lagos, on Saturday.
The award was organised by the diplomatic missions in partnership with the United Nations Women and United Nations Development Programme.
Adetiba won the award in the media and culture category, while Tallen was honoured with a lifetime achievement award for her advocacy for the inclusion of women and girls in governance.
While speaking at the event, Tallen hailed the collaboration and support of the female diplomats in Nigeria.
“The world will only be a better place if women and men work together. Anybody that is against having more women at the decision table, having more women involved in national development is fighting against the will of God,” she said.
