SAN FRANCISCO, June 4, (THEWILL) – The Board of Governors of the African Development Bank, AfBD, has authorized an independent probe into allegations of misconduct leveled against its President, Akinwunmi Adesina by whistleblowers.
THEWILL recalls that the United States had insisted on an independent probe of the complaints after the AfDB’s ethics committee cleared Adesina of any wrongdoing.
The Board’s resolution was released Thursday in a communiqué.
