October 5, (THEWILL) – Some state governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, are currently meeting at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Governors in attendance at the meeting holding behind closed doors include Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Sani Bello (Niger), and Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa).
Also in attendance are some members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and a former National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, in attendance.
While the agenda of the meeting remained sketchy at the time of filing this report, THEWILL learnt that it was not unconnected with the grievances arising from the composition of the presidential campaign council of the party.
The meeting is also to deliberate on a date for the inauguration of the campaign council which was suspended indefinitely following a protest that trailed the list of the 422-member campaign council released by its secretary, James Faleke penultimate Friday.
The APC governors had on Tuesday night met with members of the campaign council to discuss the modalities for the inauguration and the official flag-off of the APC presidential campaigns.
