August 03, (THEWILL) – Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have commenced its rescheduled 12th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja.
The meeting, being held at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, has in attendance the party’s Acting National Chairman, Senator Abubakar Kiyari and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
Others include Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the Progressives Governors Forum, Members of the National Assembly, the first National Chairman of the party, Bisi Akande, among others.
The meeting, THEWILL gathered, will consider the appointment of external auditors, the nomination of the National Chairman and National Secretary, among other things.
The vacancies for the two National offices followed the resignation of Senators Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore as National chairman and National Secretary respectively.
The NEC is expected to announce the immediate past Governor of Kano State, Abdulahi Ganduje, as the acting National Chairman of the party.
