December 05, (THEWILL) – The Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has partnered with the Nigerian Air Force to host the 2025 Nigeria International Air Show, a landmark event aimed at spotlighting the nation’s aviation and aerospace industries.
The partnership was finalised during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, at the Ministry’s office in Abuja.
Air Marshal Abubakar disclosed that the Air Force had initially been planning an independent air show before learning of the Ministry’s similar initiative.
Recognizing the benefits of collaboration, he proposed a joint effort to maximize the event’s global appeal and effectiveness.
Commending the Air Chief’s foresight, Keyamo described the collaboration as a pivotal step toward showcasing Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace potential on the world stage.
To facilitate the seamless execution of the event, an eight-member planning committee was established.
The committee, comprising representatives from both the Ministry and the Nigerian Air Force, will oversee logistics, stakeholder engagement, and international collaborations.
“The synergy between the Ministry and the Nigerian Air Force reflects our shared vision for advancing Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace industries,” Keyamo stated.
The 2025 Nigeria International Air Show is set to attract global players, including manufacturers, regulators, investors, and aviation enthusiasts.
The event will serve as a platform for exhibiting cutting-edge technologies, fostering partnerships, and exploring opportunities for sectoral growth.
This partnership signals Nigeria’s commitment to hosting a world-class event that will drive economic growth, innovation, and international recognition for its aviation and aerospace sectors.
