BEVERLY HILLS, May 26, (THEWILL) – Chairman, Central Planning Committee of Pentecost Day, organised by the Bayelsa State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Apostle Timiebi G Kiyaramo, has again expressed confidence in the ability of the church of God to provide strategic leadership and direction in times of national crisis.
In a statement issued in Yenagoa, on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, endorsed by the Chairman of Bayelsa PFN Pentecost Day Planning Committee, Apostle Timiebi G Kiyaramo, and Secretary, Pastor Tamuno Chesime, the duo described the event as most peaceful and different from the usual, in terms of the maximum cooperation from all churches, large attendance and high ranking dignitaries from all walks of life that graced the gathering at the Living Faith Church, (Winners Chapel) Kpansia, Yenagoa.
The Central Planning Committee specifically thanked the First Family in the state, Senator Douye Diri and wife Dr. Mrs Gloria Diri, for the unflinching support towards the Christian community and particularly for the role they played in making the Pentecost Day a memorable event, adding that the event was well thought through and executed meticulously under the watch of the State PFN Chairman, Professor Prosper Ayawei and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Rev. Godspower Asimgba.
The duo also hailed the South-South PFN National Vice President, Apostle David Zilly Aggrey, State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Arch. Bishop Jacob Akpiiri, wife of Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government, Mrs Ayibapreye Konbowei Benson, and the Co-Chairman of the Pentecost Day Planning Committee, Bishop Emmunuel Bob-manuel, for their different roles in making the event outstanding and remarkable.
The statement acknowledged the immense contribution of Pastor Israel Olajumoke of the Living Faith Church, Kpansia, for providing the venue to host the epoch-making event, describing him as a good example of an effective Christian leader whose actions would always cause others to follow his lead.
The statement noted the presence of former PFN state chairmen and advisory council members, Rev. Festus Igana, Apostle Doutua Watchman, Pastor S.S. John Peters, Bishop Peter Leghemo, Washington Agala and Dr. Douye Aganaba, including the current executive committee members of PFN for their sacrifices in making the Pentecost Day event successful.
Also acknowledged in the statement, were the PFN Mass Choir for its inspiring ministration at the Pentecost Day event.
The statement also praised the women and youth wings, local government coordinators, unit leaders and community liaison officers for their contributions towards the success of the day.
