BEVERLY HILLS, November 17, (THEWILL) – With the formal announcement of the governorship result from Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, where the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, David Lyon, wholesomely trounced the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Douye Diri by 124, 844 votes against 4, 098, Lyon has now cemented his lead in the election and it will be mathematically impossible for Diri to erase it.
There are eight Local government areas in Bayelsa State. So far results from seven have been formally declared and the tally is APC: 331, 093 and PDP 124, 028.
