SAN FRANCISCO, January 24, (THEWILL) – An unspecified number of women have been reportedly abducted by Boko Haram insurgents who carried out an attack on Ndagu Village, Askira-Uba local government area of Borno State.
At least three people were killed in the attack which took place at about 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
According to reports, the insurgents came in their numbers and set the entire village ablaze
THEWILL gathered that the villagers are now at the mercy of the insurgents because of inadequate security for people in the area.
Many people who fled to the bush have not returned while there remains uncertainty about their lot. The people in the village are also traumatized due to this attack.
Although the area is relatively peaceful, it however suffered several attacks from Boko Haram militants last year.
