BEVERLY HILLS, June 18, (THEWILL) – A former Governor of Oyo State and a member of the National Working Committee, NWC, of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Abiola Ajimobi is dead, one of his aides, who asked to remain anonymous, confirmed to THEWILL.
Ajimobi died from complications from the COVID-19 at the First Consultant Group hospital in Ikoyi Lagos Thursday, the aide said.
THEWILL can report that Ajimobi’s immediate family members were making frantic efforts to charter an air ambulance to fly him to an undisclosed United States hospital for treatment before news of his death filtered in Thursday.

His spokesman, Bolaji Tunji, is however disputing that the politician is dead. In a post on social media he urged for prayers for the politician.
