December 24, (THEWILL) — Several people have reportedly been killed and others injured following a bomb explosion at a mosque in Gamboru Kasuwa, Maiduguri, Borno State.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, during Maghrib prayers, in Maiduguri, Borno’s political capital, eyewitnesses and residents confirmed.
THEWILL gathered that the blast had rocked Al-alim Mosque in Gomboru Market.
This is reported to have occurred at Magrib prayers, but the nature of the blast is not yet known.
It cannot yet be ascertained if it was a case of a suicide bomb or an IED.
Similarly, details regarding casualties are still being gathered, as of the time of this report.
