Brent Crude Hits Record $150 Per Barrel

April 07, (THEWILL) — The world’s most significant crude benchmark, Dated Brent, which measures the real price of physical barrels of crude oil traded, has crossed $150pb according to S&P Global Energy Platts data.

THEWILL reports that the hike is coming close to the expiration of President Donald Trump’s deadline to bomb Iran “back to the stone ages…” if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened.

Dated Brent is the primary global benchmark for physical, “real-world” crude oil, representing the spot price of North Sea cargoes with assigned loading dates.
