September 22, (THEWILL) – Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulkadir, is dead.
He died on Wednesday in Kano State.
His Gaya Emirate is one of the four new ones created by Kano State Governor, Alh Abdullahi Ganduje.
Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Social Media, shared the sad news via Facebook page on Wednesday.
A palace source said the late Monarch has been ill for quite some time, saying, “We woke up to hear the shocking news of his passing away.”
Late Emir Abdulkadir, in his 90s, was first appointed in 1990 as the District Head of Kunci and Minjibir and in May 2019, was elevated to the rank of Emir of Gaya.
