September 14, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Police Force has assured of a diligent investigation into the death of Singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Alabama, aka MohBad.
THEWILL reports that the 27-year-old singer died on Tuesday, September 12, in Lagos.
While controversies have surrounded his passing, THEWILL recalls that MohBad had petitioned the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Alagbon, Lagos, on June 27, 2023, where he alleged a threat to his life.
A statement signed by Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, said the Lagos Police Commissioner has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s demise.
The police also extended their deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of the late singer, urging family members and friends of the late singer to come forward with useful information that will assist in the investigation.
The statement titled ‘MohBad’s Demise: We Will Carry Out Diligent Investigation – Police’, reads: “We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as MohBad, who tragically passed away recently. We understand the concerns surrounding his untimely demise and the various speculations that have arisen.
“The Nigeria Police Force is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter, as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Rest assured, updates will be provided as investigations unfold.
“We encourage family members or close associates with valuable information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in this process.
“In the meantime, we kindly request that individuals refrain from making statements or engaging in activities that could jeopardise the ongoing investigation.
