
March 18, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu will this evening declare a state of emergency in Rivers State, sacking Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, Ngozi Obi, members of the House of assembly as well as state executive cabinet, multiple sources with knowledge of the development told THEWILL at the end of the President’s meeting with service chiefs and leaders of the National Assembly, Tuesday.
“This was the resolution agreed at the meeting,” one of the sources, told THEWILL.
The state has been in political crisis following the battle for the control of power between the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike and Governor Fubara.
