October 03, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has asked the Senate to screen and confirm three additional ministerial nominees.
The president, in a letter addressed to Senate President, Goodswill Akpabio, listed the nominees as Dr. Jamila Bio, Balarebe Abbas and Olawale Olawande.
According to NTA, Abbas is the new Ministerial nominee from Kaduna State.
Abbas, a former Secretary to the Kaduna State Government, under the immediate-past Governor, Nasir El-rufai, was retained as SSG by Governor Uba Sani.
THEWILL recalls that President Bola Tinubu had on Sunday, September 17, appointed Jamila and Olawande as Youth Ministers.
Jamila Ibrahim is a young medical doctor and most recently served as the President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF). She has also served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Olawande is a community development expert and youth leader in the governing All Progressives’ Congress (APC). He most recently served in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023.
