This is the first time that the President will be absent at the weekly FEC meeting since March 10 when he returned to Nigeria from his 49-day medical vacation in London.

At that time, Buhari had disclosed that he would return to London for further medical check-ups.

The Vice President had presided over all the FEC meetings while his principal was away.
