May 29, (THEWILL) – The immediate past President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has departed Eagle Square, Abuja, for his country home in Daura, Katsina State.
The former President departed Eagle Square to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, immediately after handing over power to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday.
THEWILL reports that Tinubu took his oath of office as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on Monday morning.
Buhari will, on Tuesday, in Daura, be hosted to Durbar ceremony as a mark of welcome.
Earlier, the former President said he would retire to his hometown to take care of his cows.
