
August 30, (THEWILL) –Â President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, met with a delegation of governors from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, held behind closed-doors inside the president’s office, was brief, after which some of the governors moved over to the office of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
The agenda of the meeting was not made public and the governors did not brief the press after the meeting, but it may not be unconnected to how to ensure the victory of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in 2023.
Led by the Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum, PGF, and Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Bagudu, other governors present at the meeting, included Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Dr Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Abubakar Bello, Inuwa Yahaya, Abdullahi Sule and Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Dr. Eric Igwe.
