June 04, (THEWILL) – Former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed profound grief over the demise of Borno State’s long-serving Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Usman Jidda Shuwa.
Shuwa, the immediate past SSG to Governor Babagana Zulum, died on Saturday, after a brief illness.
Garba Shehu, the immediate past Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, to the former President, in a statement on Sunday, said Buhari described the immediate past SSG as a veteran of the office imbued courage and passion for service, who had helped to see the state through its most difficult years.
“He worked tirelessly for the progress of Borno State and anchored the state through critical times.
“May Allah bless his soul and grant fortitude to his family and the government and people of the state to bear the loss”, he said.
