December 12, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday commiserate with the government and people of Oyo State as well as the indigenes of Ogbomoso land over the demise of a first-Class King, the Soun of Ogbomoso land, Oba Oladunni Jimoh Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III.
THEWILL reports that the Ajagungbade III, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi died on Sunday morning in Ogbomoso, the Osun State capital at the age of 95.
In a condolence message by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, the President, also joined the Oyo State Council of Obas to condole the entire family of the deceased ruler.
President Buhari said, Oyewumi’s reign of 48 years reinforced the town as a land of peace, accommodating and a bastion of history and tradition; adding that that the deceased would forever be remembered for his counsel and commitment to the unity and harmony within the ranks of the traditional rulers.
According to him, Oba Oyewumi accentuated his reign with the development and progress of the community through enduring peace and extension of hands of fellowship to peoples of other lands.
President Buhari prayed to God for his eternal rest.
