May 07, (THEWILL) – Dangote Refinery, the world’s largest single-train refinery, is set for inauguration.
THEWILL reports that the official commissioning of the Refinery has been scheduled for Monday, May 22, 2023.
A source at the refinery confirmed that the refinery has been completed with pre-inauguration tests ongoing, adding that President Buhari would inaugurate the plant in Lagos on May 22.
The oil facility, which has the capacity to refine 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day, is expected to meet 100 percent of the Nigerian requirement of all refined products and also have a surplus of each of these products for export.
The multi-billion dollar project, designed to process Nigerian crude, is expected to create a market for $21 billion per annum of Nigerian crude oil.
