July 09, (THEWILL) – Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy, has become the first African musician to sell out a stadium show in the United States of America.
The self-acclaimed African giant successfully sold out the 41,000-capacity Citi Field Stadium in New York City, USA, on Saturday.
Burna Boy’s sister, Nissi, opened the stage with a wonderful rendition of some of her songs, which was applauded by fans in attendance.
Burna Boy also had a collaborative performance with British rapper, Dave, who joined him on stage to perform their collaborative hit song, ‘Location’.
The singer captivated the crowd with his electrifying performance, delivering some of his hit songs including ‘Ye’ ‘Outside,’ ‘African Giant,’ ‘Twice As Tall,’ and ‘Love Damini’.
