
November 18, (THEWILL) – American singer, Casandra Elizabeth, aka Cassie Ventura, has announced that she has reached a settlement in her lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, Sean Combs, aka Diddy.
Cassie On Thursday, filed a lawsuit accusing the rapper of rape and abuse. She alleged that Diddy trapped her in a cycle of abuse and violence for a decade.
The lawsuit labelled the musician a serial domestic abuser, who would regularly beat and kick Ventura, leaving black eyes, bruises, and blood.
This included plying her with drugs, physically assaulting her, and coercing her into engaging in sexual activities with multiple male prostitutes while he recorded the encounters. According to the suit, in 2018, near the end of their relationship, Diddy forcibly entered her home and raped her.
Diddy denied the allegations, calling them offensive and outrageous. He also accused Cassie of trying to extort him for $30 million.
The pair has, however, reached an agreement to resolve the case but the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support,” she said.
Diddy also said the matter was resolved and wished Cassie’s family the best.
“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love,” he said.
Diddy and Cassie’s relationship began in 2007. They made their public debut as a couple in 2012. The pair, however, broke up after a heated argument in 2018.
