April 01, (THEWILL) – Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy, has undergone surgery in an undisclosed medical facility in Lagos State, to alleviate prostate cancer.
The self-acclaimed area fada, an interview with Saturday Vanguard, spoke about his recovery.
According to him, it is not the first battle he will fight and he is certain he will win in the fight against prostate cancer.
He encouraged men to face the scourge of prostate cancer squarely by testing and seeking remedy earlier because early detection guarantees success in its treatment.
“When I broke the news that I was managing prostate cancer, I stated that I won’t go down without a fight, I, hereby reiterate that statement.
“I urge men to share their medical conditions with friends and family so as not to die in silence.
“A problem shared is half solved. It is for this reason that I am discussing my health matters publicly so that my fellow men will learn from my experience. My doctor is very happy with my progress so far during and after the surgery.”
In 2022, Charly Boy opened up about having prostate cancer after joining the awareness against the deadly disease.
He, however, promised to fight the ailment and emerge victorious against it.
