
August 09, (THEWILL) – Chidinma Adora Ojukwu, the Prime suspect in the killing of the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, and one Adedapo Quadri, were, on Monday, remanded in prison custody by a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court.
Adeola Adedayo, the Magistrate, ruled that she be remanded in prison for the 30 days pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
THEWILL reports, that Chidinma, a 21-year-old 300-level Mass Communication student at the University of Lagos, was alleged to have murdered Ataga on June 16, in a short let in Lekki area of Lagos State.
She and the deceased had been “dating” for some time.
Chidinma was arrested on June 23 in her father’s house in Yaba and paraded at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja.
She initially confessed to stabbing Usifo with a knife under the influence of alcohol and withdrawing N380,000 from the victim’s account with his ATM card.
However, she later disowned her initial confessions, absolving herself of the murder.
