February 01, (THEWILL) – Christ Embassy, South-South Zone 1, Bayelsa State, has said all is now set for its maiden crusade to be held on February 3, 2023, tagged, “Bayelsa Prayer Crusade”, expected to galvanise Christians to pray, in order to bring about Divine healing upon the land of Bayelsa and Nigeria at large, at the Bayelsa state Medical University, car park, Yenagoa.

Speaking during a media briefing in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, the Head of Programme, Secretariat and  Zonal Head of Operations, South-South Zone 1, Pastor Tokunbo Umeasiegbu, said it is a non-denominational prayer meeting for all the churches and residents of Bayelsa who love the State.

Pastor (Mrs) Umeasiegbu stated that the crusade is very apt and suspicious, as it is coming at the beginning of the year, as well as at a very important time in the nation’s history, considering that the general elections are around the corner, pointing out that there will be supernatural change in the lives of attendees.

She noted that the prayer meeting would usher in peace, unity and oneness, adding that when God wants to do something, He sends a man and that man is Pastor Obi Umeasiegbu, whom God has sent to be a light to Bayelsa.

She said, “We are particularly excited about this crusade because this will be the very first of its  kind in Bayelsa State. It is very crucial for us at this time considering the state of our nation and as we look forward to the upcoming elections in Nigeria this year 2023.

“No doubt this programme will change the trajectory of our state and nation bringing about supernatural change in our lives. It will foster peace, unity, oneness and love among the people and establish God’s Divine purpose for Bayelsa State and our country, Nigeria as a whole.

“One of those things to expect during this programme is the supernatural. We all look forward to miracles, the power of God to save, to heal, to bless. We are looking forward to Divine visitation upon our land. We are  looking forward to the supernatural changes that will take place and we are expectant knowing that everyone who will be part of this program will have a change in their lives and  their future.”

Also speaking, the Group Pastor, Sunshine Group of Churches, Pastor Lawrence Ehimare, said the crusade is the first of its kind in Bayelsa State because it is a prayer crusade.

Pastor Ehimare, while making reference to 2 Chronicles 4:14, said that when Christians come to gather to pray in solemn assembly there is a supernatural move of God, adding that it is an interdenominational prayer meeting that all Christians that believe in Christ and Bayelsa ought to come in one accord in prayers.

“Coming together to pray will definitely make a change, 2 Chronicles 4:14 says if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, God says I will arise and heal their land as that is why we are praying. That is the reason for the crusade.

“The State and the nation are going through a new phase and it is important that Christians pray. Anytime a new cycle is about to unfold men ought always to pray. And this is the reason we are calling on everyone to come for corporate prayers.”

On his part, the Group Pastor, Christ Embassy Group of Churches, Livingspring Group, Pastor Bibi Alagha, noted that “the crusade is for everyone who’s from Bayelsa and resident in Bayelsa and interested in the good of the State you are invited to participate in this programme. It is prayer crusade that means that what the Spirit of God has inspired the Man of God to do is to galvanise the spiritual forces resident in this land to embark on this campaign for a change.”

Other members of the panellists who spoke, also reiterated the fact that the Christ Embassy church has not been relenting in praying for the growth, peace and development of Bayelsa state, nothing they had also prayed against militancy and are constantly praying for the completion of the three senatorial districts road on going in the state.

According to pastor Alagha, “it is a novel programme, borne of God and spirit”, while pastor Nelson Akpuruku said, “The crusade is timely, apt and determined to change policies, as wrongly persons voted into power will give room to wrong policies of government”, Pastor  Frank said, “It is time to change Bayelsa state and Nigeria, there is need to pray for peaceful co-existence.”

The organisers also said there are arrangements for transportation to Bayelsa state Medical University, car park, Imgbi Road Amarata and registration for participants and forms for prayer requests.
