September 28, (THEWILL) – The Class of ‘84, Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom State, are having their periodical reunion on Thursday, the 5th day of October, at The Four Point By Sheraton Hotel, Ikot Ekpene.
The rundown of events released by the Local Organising Committee indicates that on Wednesday, the 4th, the distinguished classmates will arrive and check into the hotel, the evening arrivals will be followed by a welcome cocktail at 7:30pm.
On Thursday, the 5th, there will be a walkout for fitness, which will be followed by a breakfast. At 10:30 am, the old Students will visit their Alma mater, which is a stone-throw from the hotel.
The class will then officially hand over a Solar Energy Project, fully sponsored by the class to the school authorities. This will be followed by indoor and outdoor games.
The hours of 7 to 8 pm will be time for The Annual General Meeting of the class that will culminate into an Award Night.
After dinner, there will be a dance party, “ebo” from 10 pm to the small hours of the morning.
The old boys will depart to their various destinations thereafter.
It will be recalled that a few years ago, the class of ‘84 of the school donated the first phase of the solar energy plant to their Alma mater, which has served the female hostel when they promised to reciprocate for the boys hostel a promise they have fulfilled in their reunion this year.
