BEVERLY HILLS, May 18, (THEWILL) – Angry motorists and residents around Onigari at the Ogun State end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, have blocked the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to protest the accident caused by some cows that strayed into the path of a speeding truck on the road.
THEWILL gathered that the herdsmen, who were herding the cows when they strayed onto the road and caused the accident, immediately fled the scene of the incident.
A passenger in one of the vehicles that got stuck on the road, said, ”The express is blocked. I was told that some people are protesting because of the accident in the morning.
”They said the accident was caused by some cows that strayed to the road. I found this out from our driver who left the bus in the traffic and went to find out what happened.”
