June 11, (THEWILL) – Ekiti State-based chef, Dami Adeperusi, who is attempting to snag a place in the Guinness Book of World Records by breaking the 100-hour cook-a-thon record of Hilda Effiong Bassey, aka Hilda Baci, has been accused of selling her food to people, who are visiting the venue of her cooking marathon.
A lady identified as Debbie Agboola shared how she was charged N1,000 to eat at the cook-a-thon venue in Oye Local Government Area in the State.
Agboola said she attended with the intention of watching and eating. However, the event did not go as expected.
She said she arrived with a companion and encountered some confusion about VIP and regular seating areas.
According to her, they paid N1,000 naira each for VIP access but the organisation failed to provide them with food on time.
Debbie said some non-paying individuals received food meant for VIPs, causing frustration among the paying guests.
Eventually, the organisers asked Debbie and her companion to leave, leading to a confrontation with a bouncer.
Debbie expressed dissatisfaction with the management and called the event a fraudulent activity.
She acknowledged the professionalism of the ushering department but criticized the overall organisation and advised them to learn from the experience.
