Coronation Asset Management has launched the Coronation Equity Fund, an open-ended collective investment scheme aimed at helping investors benefit from the long-term growth opportunities in Nigeria’s equities market.
The launch comes at a significant time for the Nigerian capital market. In 2025, the NGX All-Share Index posted an impressive 51.19 percent year-to-date return, climbing to record highs amid stronger corporate earnings, ongoing macroeconomic reforms, and renewed investor confidence.
The rally has reinforced the value of long-term investing, particularly for investors who remained active in the market during periods of uncertainty.
According to Coronation Asset Management, the new Fund is designed for individuals and institutions seeking professionally managed exposure to Nigerian equities with a focus on sustainable wealth creation over time.
Speaking on the launch, Managing Director of Coronation Asset Management, Aigbovbioise Aig-Imoukhuede, said the fund reflects the company’s commitment to helping investors build enduring wealth through disciplined and research-driven investing.
“Nigeria continues to reward patient and disciplined investors. The Coronation Equity Fund is designed for people who are focused on building lasting wealth through active portfolio management and long-term market opportunities,” he said.
The Fund will invest a minimum of 70 percent of its assets in listed Nigerian equities, while retaining flexibility to invest in fixed-income and money market instruments to support liquidity management.
The investment strategy is anchored on a bottom-up stock selection approach, with each investment evaluated based on its individual fundamentals and growth potential.
The minimum investment threshold is set at ₦50,000, while additional subscriptions can be made in multiples of ₦5,000.
Investors are also expected to maintain a minimum holding period of 180 days.
Subscriptions can be completed digitally through the Coronation Wealth App and Wealth Hub, or physically at the company’s Lagos office.
