November 04, (THEWILL) – The Executive Chairman, Tangaza Local Government of Sokoto State, Hon. Isah Salihu Bashir Kalanjeni, has hailed the former governor of the State, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamaako, over the conferment of an honorary doctorate award by the Federal University Dutsin-ma in Katsina state.
The Council Boss in a letter of felicitation on Monday, described the conferment as well deserved.
Hon. Kalanjeni said the people of Tangaza Local Council are pleased to extend their warmest congratulations to the former governor.
He noted that the prestigious recognition is a testament to Senator Wamakko’s exceptional leadership and contributions to the field of politics.
“Senator Wamakko’s dedication, vision, and commitment to the people of Sokoto State and Nigeria have not gone unnoticed.
“His tireless efforts to promote good governance, peace, and development have earned him numerous accolades.
“We celebrate Senator Wamakko’s achievement and recognize the significance of this milestone”, said Hon. Kalanjeni.

Wamakko, who is the Senator representing Sokoto North in the National Assembly and chairman, Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts, was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree Honoris Causa in Political Science during the university’s 9th convocation ceremony.
