May 23, (THEWILL) – Seun Kuti’s trial has been adjourned by the Magistrates Court in Yaba, Lagos State, till Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
The trial, which was slated for Tuesday, May 23, 2023, was adjourned as a result of the judge’s absence from the court.
Seun’s older sister, Yeni Kuti, who is currently out of the country, revealed that she has no knowledge of the adjournment.
“I have no knowledge of the adjournment, his wife has not reached out to me today; she has not sent me an SMS to that effect; none of them has sent me a text yet. But I will call the wife to find out”, Yeni stated.
Seun Kuti was arrested for assaulting a police officer on the Third Mainland bridge, prompting the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, to order his arrest.
