January 15, (THEWILL) — The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has said that fuel scarcity in Nigeria has effectively ended with the removal of petrol subsidy, noting that the facility is now delivering world-class fuels to meet domestic demand.
According to the refinery, the deregulation of the downstream petroleum sector has created a more efficient and sustainable supply framework, eliminating distortions that previously led to recurring fuel shortages.
The company said its large-scale refining capacity enables steady production of high-quality petrol, diesel, aviation fuel, and other refined products that meet international standards.
Dangote Refinery stated that local refining has significantly reduced Nigeria’s dependence on imported petroleum products, lowered logistics risks, and improved fuel availability nationwide.
It added that consistent supply, transparent pricing, and quality assurance are already strengthening confidence across the energy market.
The refinery reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s energy security and economic stability, stressing that sustained local production will ensure reliable fuel supply while positioning the country as a net exporter of refined petroleum products.
