SAN FRANCISCO, October 26, (THEWILL) – The governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Asaba, Delta State capital, has dismissed the application filed by Chief Great Ogboru and his party, Labour Party (LP) challenging the election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). It also awarded N50, 000 as cost to Okowa, PDP and INEC.
The tribunal has also dismissed a similar petition by Olorogun O’tega Emerhor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging the victory of Okowa.
