SAN FRANCISCO, May 28, (THEWILL) – The Governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson on Saturday paid a visit to the recently appointed Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ahmed Makarfi, at his Kaduna home, announcing that all Governors elected under the platform of the PDP are in support of the Caretaker Committee Chairman.
Addressing newsmen about the visit, Dickson said; “I am here to consult with our Nation Chairman who is one of our respected leaders of party and of our country. I am here to consult with him on the way forward for our country.
“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate him on his emergence as the national chairman of the Caretaker Committee – a job that he didn’t seek for. I want to thank him for taking the gauntlet.
“I want to thank him for being a good party leader as he has always been, for being the agent for the rebirth of our party in this very trying time.”
Makarfi, who thanked Dickson for the visit, stated that the PDP was only on sabbatical in Kaduna State and at the National level.
He stressed that all that party members needed do to reclaim power was forgive each other and forge on.
