BEVERLY HILLS, May 05, (THEWILL) – Popular US singer and rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs, has announced the change of his middle name.
The rapper shared a picture of his driver’s licence on his Instagram page on Monday saying that he has dropped “John” as his middle name.
He accompanied the post with a photo of himself writing “Love” inside a heart with different versions of his signature.
“Look what I just got in the mail today… it’s official!!! Welcome to the love era,” he wrote.
According to reports, the three-time Grammy award winner had filed a petition in Los Angeles in 2019 to change his middle name to “Love”.
Confirming the development, the music producer also shared an extract from a court document, dated January 21, 2020, in a follow-up post on Tuesday.
“Imma need y’all to take me seriously on this one!!! #TheLoveEra LOVE,” he wrote.
