BEVERLY HILLS, March 06, (THEWILL) – The national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has been sealed off by the police and officers of the Department of State Services following conflicting court orders on the fate of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the embattled national chairman of the party.

No one has been allowed into the secretariat including journalist and staffers.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, who hosted the two warring groups of the party at the force headquarters Friday directed them to stay away from the party’s headquarters.

The face off in the ruling party erupted following an Abuja High Court order on Wednesday that restrained Oshiomole from parading himself as the APC national chairman but by Thursday another Federal High Court in Kano ordered him to remain in office.

THEWILL gathered that Oshiomhole and some members of the party’s National Working Committee, NWC, of the party in his camp had planned to storm the secretariat Friday but wanted police protection.

Also, the National Vice Chairman, North East, Comrade Salihu Mustapha and some other NWC members had also approached the Police IGP to prevent Oshiomhole from resuming at the secretariat.

The Progressive Governors’ Forum, the powerful and influential group of governors elected on the party’s platform have called for Oshiomhole’s replacement citing his poor leadership skills and the avoidable loses suffered by the party some states in the last elections.
