Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki

BEVERLY HILLS, August 16, (THEWILL) – A top member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Imodagbe has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) along with Mr Haruna Ozama, the APC chairman, Ward 12 in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Imodagbe, a former member of the Edo State House of Assembly for Etsako West Constituency 2 is from Uzairue clan.They pledged to ensure that Obaseki is re-elected as governor in the September 19 guber election.

The defection of Imogabe and that of the APC ward 12 chairman took place at Iyuku and Ayogwiri respectively, during the Edo PDP ward- to-ward tour of Uzairue clan.

While Imogabe hails from Ayua village, the ward chairman, Ozama, is from Ikabigbo.

Meanwhile, the wife of the Edo State APC governorship candidate Mrs Idia Ize-Iyamu weekend met with shop owners at the Police Officers Wife Association (POWA) shopping complex.

Mrs Ize-Iyamu lamented that their shops got burnt with no government assistance inspite of several promises by the state government to come to their aid.

She reassured the victims that her husband will not forget them and every Edo indigene.
