
October 21, (THEWILL) – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has re-arraigned the former Attorney-General of Lagos State, Olasupo Shasore (SAN), before an Ikeja Special Offences Court, for alleged corrupt offers to public officers.
According to the prosecution, the offence contravenes the provisions of Section 9(1)(a)(b) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2020.
The EFCC, on Thursday, arraigned Shasore before a Federal High Court, Lagos, on a four-count charge of money laundering.
He had pleaded not guilty to the charges and was subsequently granted N50 million bail.
Shasore served as the Attorney-General of Lagos State and the Commissioner for Justice during the tenure of Babatunde Fashola as governor.
