
SAN FRANCISCO, October 20, (THEWILL) –Â Protesters in Ibadan, on Tuesday blocked the Ojoo end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. They also barricaded roads at various junctions.
The barricade forced some vehicles to turn back and find alternative routes.
The youths also mounted a roadblock in front of the police station in Ojoo in the Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Confirming the incident, a police source said “we had to lock our gate and immediately evacuate our patrol vehicles which used to be parked by the roadside to the station.”
He added that, the protesters “also blocked the junctions on the Ojoo-UI road as the youth continued to chant, ‘EndSARS! No SWAT!’”
In a related development, youths numbering over thousands on Tuesday, converged on the Chicken Republic, along the Jos/Makurdi Road of Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State to peacefully protest #EndSARS.
