April 20, (THEWILL) – Benue State Governor-elect, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has released names of his Transition Committee with the former Head of Civil Service of the State, Chief Michael Iordye, as Chairman.
The 27-member Committee has been directed to collaborate with the Transition Committee of the outgoing government to ensure a seamless handover of power.
The statement signed by the Director of Communications for Governor-elect, Mr Tersoo Kula, said Mr Dan Ashiekaa is to serve as secretary of the Committee.
The statement listed other members of the Committee to include, Prof. John Enyi, Prof. Steven Ugbah, Chief Hinga Biem, Dr. Moses Tule, Arch Samuel Agule, Rt. Hon. Paul Biam, Barr. Moses Atagher, Hon. Dr Emmanuel Atser, Dr. Emmanuel Chenge and Mr. Humbe Mkena.
Other members are Dr. Christopher Obute, Prof. Christie Ekoja, Hon. Philip Kwaghsor, Lady Helen Atom, Barr. Bemsen Mnyim, Mrs. Nana Mede, Hon. Nick Wende, Dr. Timothy Aikyor, Hon. Nick Eworo, Lady Susan Achiaga, Rt. Hon. Dorothy Mato, Dr. Patrick Onumah, AVM Monday Morgan, Hon. Solomon Wombo, Hon. Dan Onje, Barr. Patricia Kupchi and Rev. Dr. Pst Philip Tachin.
According to the statement, the Committee will be formally inaugurated on Friday, April 21, 2023, by 10am, at the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign office.
It added that the function will be followed immediately by the Committee’s inaugural meeting at the same venue.
