Ex-Minister Of Labour Alhaji Musa Gwadabe

April 26, (THEWILL) – Former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Alhaji Musa Gwadabe, is dead.

Gwadabe died on Wednesday morning at the age of 86 after a protracted illness at a Kano hospital.

Confirming the news of his father’s death, Aisha Musa Gwadabe, who is also a worker at Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM, Kano, expressed her family’s sadness.

Gwadabe was a pioneer member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in Kano.

During Olusegun Obasanjo’s first tenure as president from 1999 to 2003, he served as a minister.

Gwadabe was also the Secretary to Kano State Government during the tenure of the late Sabo Bakin Zuwo and was a member of various boards.

President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, mourned the ex-minister, describing his loss as sorrowful and irreparable.

Also, former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, described Gwadabe as an upright politician, who stood for his ideals.

Until his death, he was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Board Chairman, Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

Gwadabe is survived by two wives, 11 children and grandchildren.
